What do Deep Vein Thrombosis and Public Transportation have in common?

Well other than one being a cause of the other, the answer is Katie.  A scientist between the hours of 9-5, Katie gets joy out of her day from traveling from Midtown to the medical center on the Houston Metro Light rail.

It all started one cold December day when she saw a homeless man rolling a joint on the train. Before this day, Katie usually brightened the lives of her twitter followers with her less than 140 character description of something ridiculous happening on the light rail.  On this day, Katie decided to bring joy to world and express her love for writing through the Today On The Light Rail blog.

Sometimes raunchy, usually funny, always completely ridiculous – all of Katie’s encounters are sure to entertain you and give you a peek inside how she makes her mundane life much more exciting.
